SACRAMENTO—Assemblymember James C. Ramos (D-San Bernardino) has ten bills approved by the Senate Appropriations Committee that will be heard by the full Senate before Aug. 31, the last day of the 2025-26 legislative session.
Ramos said, “It’s a robust package that I hope to get to the governor for his approval this year. The bills touch on education, public safety and clarifying tribal rights and inclusion.”

SACRAMENTO—California’s missing persons program will undergo updating and expanding with the aim of increasing the state’s numbers of open missing persons cases under a bill signed by Gov. SACRAMENTO—California Senate Judiciary Committee members approved a measure establishing enforceable protections for the free exercise of California Indian customs, ceremonies and spiritual practices on state lands. SACRAMENTO—A bill to extend the duration of newly issued Carry Concealed Weapons (CCW) Licenses to three years has been approved by Gov. Gavin Newsom. AB 1948 was introduced by Assemblymember James C. Ramos (D-San Bernardino).
“The current two-year renewal cycle creates unnecessary administrative burdens for both applicants and issuing authorities,” Ramos said. “AB 1948 streamlines the process, reduces costs for residents, and allows law enforcement agencies to focus on oversight and public safety. I thank Governor Newsom for signing this into law.”
